Knowing which tools to use is half the battle so lets talk a bit about what you want when analysing your Sites SEO status.

Establishing your best keywords

Again there are many highly recommended tools for this process that you can purchase which will make your life so much easier and the one that stands out the most for me is market samurai hands down. In this example I’ll use the phrase “SEO”. Now I’ve placed SEO into Market samurai’s keyword research tool and its given me a list of keywords that are associated with SEO. The first image is my list, now I can also just add my list of keywords that I have already gathered and analyse these and I recommend you do this so you can stay focused. Now the right image is the keywords after I have hit Analyze, as you can see it will give me an actual SEOV (search Engine Optimization value) and I can see straight away which keywords are the most profitable. In this example we have used Search Engine optimization marketing and you can see if we ranked number 1 for this search phrase that we would be receiving $13911 value in free exposure.

The Next thing we need to do is decide what keywords are viable for us to pursue.

SEO Competition

You could use market Samurai for this and I’ll show you quickly how but I don’t want this article to focus on Market Samurai. OK so within the same screen we simply hit the little key button.

And what you will get is a new page where you can enter your own URL or your competitors and compare it to your competition i.e. the top ten.

There’s another great tool for this really cheap too, it’s called SEOCockpit I have been using this for a few weeks now and it enables me to produce summaries of my keywords and their movement. Yes put your competitors in this as well so you can see how you stack up against them, I only use the $10 per month plan and It works great.

Now for some free SEO tools to monitor your competition, SEO for FireFox is great! this enables you to go to any site at any time and Right click to look deep into the site and why it ranks well in Google.

Now all that’s left to do is see if you can get similar links or better links from the same sources, simple right? Dam straight, here’s an even better tool that’s avilable right now for free. I’m not sure if it will be free when you click on it but it was at the time of writing the article, its called “Rank decoding engine” this puppy will really make you smile this software will find the top authotrity sites in your niche and list them for you so all you have to do to beat your competition is become an authority by develping great content for these sites. Dont stress if you can’t get a link on all opf these but do as many as you can and Always use anchor text where you can. I highly recommend you download that software.

Generating backlinks is good SEO

I’m not going to recommend any article writing websites because I haven’t had much success personally and prefer to write my own content, however if you generate some good articles and place them on the top ranked websites for your niche using the Rank decoding engine as described above then you will get some great PR flowing to your site. When it comes to back-links you cant go past directories and the latest one I’ve been using is Directory maximiser these guys are super cheap great to deal with and have no minimums so you can submit to 10 or 2000 directories if you want and unlike other directories they will credit you if a directory doesn’t accept your submission. cant go wrong.

Don’t freek out when you see that your PR hasn’t increased because Google only updates PR 2-3 times per year and it doesn’t mean that you aren’t getting the respect you deserve.
